ICORD 2017 in China

12th ANNUAL ICORD MEETING, 7-10 September 2017,
Beijing, China

ICORD, the Chinese Organization for Rare Diseases (CORD) and Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH), three non-profit entities, co-organised the 12th Annual ICORD Meeting with Rare Diseases International (RDI) as an international partner. The meeting took place together with the 6th China Rare Disease Summit 7-10 September 2017 at the Beijing JW Marriott Hotel in the fascinating and historical city of Beijing, China.

ORGANISATION

The organisation committee was constituted by knowledgeable and experienced persons in the field of rare diseases who contribute to a multifaceted and interesting programme for all stakeholders. Rare Diseases International supported in the development of the conference programme.

Presentations from the Opening Ceremony

PARTICIPANTS
Everyone with an interest in rare diseases was welcome to attend and contribute to the ICORD annual meeting. ICORD is an International Society for all individuals active in rare diseases and/or orphan drugs, including health care, research, academic, industry, patients, patient groups, regulatory authorities, health authorities, and public policy professionals.

CONFERENCE PROGRAMME
The programme of the 2017 ICORD annual meeting included sessions of importance to all stakeholders within the rare disease field, such as rare disease policies, patient registries, clinical care, diagnostics, orphan drug access, research and precision medicine, global collaboration and quality of life. In addition there were poster sessions, offering an opportunity for the conference delegates to meet and discuss matters of importance with other delegates with similar interests.
